Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish warns against complacency when his team face Milton Keynes Thunder
Bottom-of-the-table Milton Keynes Thunder head to Gillingham to take on the Invicta Dynamos on Sunday.
The Mos are full of confidence, after wins over top teams last weekend but head coach Kevin Parrish isn’t taking anything for granted.
Parrish knows his men need to be fully alert for MK’s arrival – as the visitors seek their first NIHL South Division 1 win of the season.
Parrish said: “On paper it looks like it should be a walkover for us but MK are better away from home and if we head into it with the wrong mentality, then we are going to struggle.
“We’ve got to be professional and show the right attitude. It’s all about the win for us, not about who scores the most points.”
The Mos have already hit double figures against Milton Keynes twice this season. And they shouldn’t be short of confidence, having come back from four goals down to beat leaders Wightlink Raiders 6-4 last weekend.
The Mos are still playing catch-up as they aim to wrestle the title off Chelmsford Chieftains, who occupy second spot, a point ahead of Parrish’s team.
He said: “The boys are here because they want to win something and we are not going to settle for a fourth-place finish like in the last few years, ahead of the play-offs.”
