Good causes are invited to submit teams for the event being staged by the KM Group’s charity department for the chance to win a share of the charity pot.

A prize draw will decide which cause will win the money which could be up to £1,000.

Last year’s record breaking event saw 41 teams compete for the Big Quiz Trophy and raised £8,000 for charities.

Helping to generate a bumper prize payout will be Kent brewer Shepherd Neame which is donating all refreshments for the charity bar, plus a raffle featuring classic collectables from Hornby.

A host of prizes will be up for grabs including vouchers for DFDS Seaways and Eurostar.

All funds raised on the night will be boosted pound for pound by Barclays bank ensuring a premium payout for charity.

Other causes set to benefit include road safety and literacy services for schools, and the Medway Messenger’s charity of the year Unit 1 Skatepark, a children’s charity based in Rochester.

Event organiser Dominic Comins, from the KM Charity Team, said: “We are delighted to offer one lucky charity the chance to scoop a substantial sum just for attending our fun event.

“Try and muster as many teams as you can because every team booked by a charity equals a name in the hat!”

The quiz will be staged at The St George Hotel in Chatham and booking price includes a bottle of wine, a bottle of fizzy water, and a selection of nibbles for each team.

To book a team of up to eight, visit www.kmbigquiz.co.uk and click ‘Event Booking’ or click the direct link HERE. Use the code KMNEWS18 for a £10 discount on the price.
