A celebrity cook-off brought rewards to the foundation behind Howletts wild animal park.

Matt Skilton and Rani Price, presenters of BBC children’s programme Roar!, appeared on the popular cookery programme Ready Steady Cook along with chefs Brian Turner and Paul Rankin.

Of the two, Matt’s efforts were judged the best and he won £100 for his trouble.

As Roar! focuses on the lives of the animals and keepers at Howletts and Port Lympne parks, he donated his winnings to the Aspinall Foundation.

His winning recipe featured roasted duck with soy, diced plum and honey.
