It’s not too late for more riders to take up the popular challenge as participants are welcome to turn up and pay on the day.

Cyclists will tackle one of two circular routes; a 50K or 100K version, both starting from Betteshanger Park. The routes take riders through the east Kent countryside around Dover, Deal, and Sandwich, and in the case of the longer route, along the Thanet coast too.

Participants can ride just for fun or to raise sponsorship money for any good cause of their choice. Individuals raising £200 or more will go into a prize draw to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.

Electronic chip timing will capture the results of the ride and a sportive photograph taken of each cyclist in action. There will be mid-ride refreshments provided for all riders plus hot and cold food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue.

The KM Big Bike Ride is supported by key partners Vattenfall and Locks of Sandwich Cycles plus Benenden Hospital Trust.

Check-in time is from 8am to 10am - with the majority of riders setting off at 9am - and cyclists aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
