Free family mini festival Buster's Big Bash this Saturday at Dane John Gardens in Canterbury has sold out

As part of the celebrations of Walk to School Week families across Kent will join in the sold-out free mini festival Buster’s Big Bash this Saturday.

All 400 free tickets have been claimed by quick-off-the-mark families who will take part in fun activities including space hoppers and pedal go-karts as well as a double record attempt to create the longest walking bus in the county and biggest teddy bears’ picnic.

Organised by the KM Charity Team, which runs green travel and literacy services for schools, the half day event is being staged at Dane John Gardens, Canterbury from 10am.

There will also be free refreshments, a Punch and Judy show, Mabel the big red bus, and workshops for balloon modelling.

Businesses backing KM Walk to School include Kent County Council, Medway Council, Ashford Borough Council, Canterbury City Council, Maidstone Borough Council, Thanet District Council, Orbit South, Golding Vision (part of Golding Homes), Westwood Cross, Southern Water, Countrystyle, Eurostar, Specsavers, Whitefriars shopping area, Leeds Castle, Three R’s Teacher Recruitment and Mini Babybel.
