Walkers can raise money for any good cause of their choice and so far more than 40 charities are set to benefit.

Every participant will get a goody bag and certificate at the finish line.

The KM Charity Walk is sponsored by Britain’s oldest brewer Shepherd Neame. Moray Neame, communications executive, said: “We are very pleased to be involved in the KM Charity Walk. It does a great deal for the local and national charities that it supports and it is a real privilege to be involved this year.”

Walkers can opt for a 10-mile or a 5-mile route, both of which begin at Brogdale Collections in Faversham.

Funds raised will be divided between participants’ named charities and the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.
