KentOnline readers are being challenged to take on the champions at this summer’s KM Big Charity Quiz.

Five top trivia teams have laid down the gauntlet to quiz-goers at the Ashford heat of the annual wine and wisdom event.

Giants of the quiz scene Stargating Across the Quiziverse, Supernova, Moomins, Medway Mail and Female, and the Unicorn will be competing for the Big Quiz trophy and a coveted place in the final. The Supernova team will be defending their title as current reigning county champions.

Booking is now open for teams of up to eight to take on the brainiacs on Saturday, July 8 at the Ashford International Hotel.

Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “Any pub quiz teams up for a challenge should look no further! Join our mammoth event for a lively evening of friendly banter and fun for all comers.”

Ticket price includes a bottle of wine and nibbles for the table with further refreshments available for purchase at the Spitfire charity bar, supplied by Shepherd Neame. Other businesses backing the event include Office Angels, Hallett and Co, Barclays, and Specsavers.

A bumper prize raffle will include classic collectables from Hornby and one quiz-goer will be asked an on the spot general knowledge question to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.

Funds raised will support the East Kent Hospitals Charity and road safety services for children.
