A group of Sittingbourne solicitors will be swapping litigation for legwork this Sunday (June 24) when they take part in the KM Charity Walk – which still has places left for anyone who would like to explore the mid-Kent countryside.

Jarmans are supporting the event and senior partner Jay Sahota, a keen walker, is getting a group of similarly energetic colleagues together.

“Jarmans has a long and proud history of helping charitable causes, going back about 80 or 90 years, and I wanted to carry that forward,” he said.

Walkers can opt for a five-mile family-friendly route or the full ten-mile trek, which skirts the grounds of Leeds Castle in Maidstone.

The walk starts and ends at Grade II listed mansion Mote House and participants can take part just for fun or to raise sponsor money for any charity of their choice. Anyone individually raising £200 or more will go into a prize draw to win two Eurostar tickets.

Dogs on leads are welcome and children - who go free when booking online in advance - can follow Kent Wildlife Trust’s nature trail as they go along the route.

After the walk there will be a summer fayre with barbecue, food and drink stalls, live music, and craft activities for children.
