The event’s organisers are advising would-be thrill seekers to secure their place without delay to avoid disappointment.

Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: "It looks like this will be our most popular abseil at Folkestone for years. We are already three-quarters full.

“This is the perfect event if you are abseiling for the first time. It is not as high as other abseils we do and you will be enjoying the views so much you won’t have time to worry."

David Cameron, senior marketing officer at Leas Cliff Hall, added: “The abseil from the balcony of our Channel Suite is one of the most idyllic sea view settings to undertake such an experience.

“Why not take part on 14th June and raise much needed funds for a charity of your choice?"

The challenge is organised by the KM’s charity department and supported by Holiday Extras and Over the Edge Adventures.
