Eggheads will gather for the 10th anniversary KM Big Charity Quiz tonight at Maidstone Leisure Centre

Tonight 34 teams will battle it out for general knowledge glory at the 10 anniversary KM Maidstone Big Charity Quiz.

Maidstone Leisure Centre is hosting the event which starts at 7pm. Funds raised will support Maidstone Mind, Heart of Kent Hospice and the walk to school projects of the KM Charity Team.

Shepherd Neame have supplied a fully stocked charity bar while staff from Barclays bank will be serving the drinks. Volunteers from Qube Recruitment will be runners on the night collecting completed quiz sheets, helping to run the raffle and performing other tasks as needed.

Event organiser Dominic Comins, of the KM Charity Team, said: “We’re hoping this extra special 10 anniversary event will raise a record amount for these three charities.

“Quiz-goers will be treated to a fun packed night, fantastic prizes from P&O Ferries and Hornby, and the chance to win £100 in cash.”

Mr Comins added: “I’d like to thank all our supporters including DSH and MHA MacIntyre Hudson for their help in making the event a success.”

  • The KM Big Charity Quiz raises £30,000 each year for good causes in the county.
  • Heats are staged in Maidstone, Medway, Canterbury and Ashford with a champions’ final at the end of the year.
