Berkeley has Help to Buy showcase at Holborough Lakes

Find out how to grab a beautiful new home with a smaller deposit at an event on Saturday, November 11.

Mortgage advisors will be on hand to outline the government-backed Help to Buy scheme at the Holborough Lakes development, Snodland, from 10am to 4pm.

With a Help to Buy equity loan the government lends you up to 20% of the cost of your newly built home, so you’ll only need a 5% cash deposit and a 75% mortgage to make up the rest.

You won’t be charged loan fees on the 20% loan for the first five years of owning your home.

Holborough Lakes developer, Berkeley, will also pay the first month’s mortgage when buyers reserve a property at the event on Saturday, November 11 – so you could even be in by Christmas.

Several of the latest homes at Holborough Lakes front the eight-acre freshwater lake at the development.

All homes at Holborough Lakes are surrounded by professionally maintained grounds and mature trees.

Alongside two activity trim trails, the bustling community also includes an excellently equipped on-site nursery, Valley Invicta primary school, village hall and private residents’ gym.

Prices at Holborough Lakes start from £320,000 for a two-bedroom apartment, with a range of three and four-bedroom homes available from £445,000.

Help to Buy is available in England from house builders registered to offer the scheme. In November 2015, the government announced an extension of the initiative up to 2021.
