Special bus service for clubbers

CLUBBERS living in parts of north and west Kent will now be able to party in Maidstone without worrying about how to get home, thanks to the launch of a new bus scheme.

The new bus service began last week with pick-up points in Newington, Sittingbourne town centre, Rainham, Gillingham, Chatham and Rochester.

Now organisers have added Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks to the growing list of pick-up points after dozens of clubbers asked to be included.

With Maidstone already attracting the largest number of night-time revellers in Kent - up to 15,000 each weekend - the new bus service could bring even more people into the County Town's bars and clubs.

The bus, which operates until 4am on some nights, has onboard security guards. It runs to and from most towns every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at a cost of £10 return.

Timetables and information are available on 01474 532723.
