Reader Michael Stacey took this dramatic picture moments after the lorry became precariously wedged under a railway bridge.

The incident blocked the A20 at Harrietsham in both directions on Thursday.

The vehicle, carrying tissue paper, clipped the bridge and became stuck at a 45 degree angle in the middle of the road.

The Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident at 10.40am along with police and engineers from Network Rail. Because of fears the lorry could fall over, traffic was stopped on both sides of the bridge and long tailbacks formed.

The lorry was recovered in little more than an hour and engineers declared the bridge was safe. No trains were delayed.
