Glass in eye for car crash victim in Hythe Road, Dymchurch

A man suffered the horrific injury of glass in his eye in a car crash.

The smash happened between two cars at Hythe Road, Dymchurch at 10.55am today.

The victim was thought to have been hurt by glass from a shattered windscreen and two ambulances were called to tend to him and an injured woman.

Kent Police said that the vehicles involved were a black Mitsubishi and a blue Vauxhall Agila.
The woman victim suffered knee pain and shock.

The ambulances were at the scene with a paramedic car and one patient was taken to Ashford’s William Harvey Hospital.

The accident caused traffic disruption with Stagecoach reporting that its number 101 and 102 buses were being diverted via Burmarsh Road, Donkey Street and Botolphs Bridge Road.
