Man found dead inside the premises of the Plough Inn, New Romney

A man has been found dead inside the premises of a pub in New Romney.

It is believed that the man passed away on yesterday morning in the building of the Plough Inn on Dymchurch Road.

It was reported that forensics teams were at the pub this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called at 5.17pm on Friday, April 6, regarding concerns for a man at an address in Dymchurch Road, New Romney.

"The body of a man was later located at around 6pm.

"Officers are not treating the death as suspicious and a report is being compiled for the Coroner."

The landlord of the pub, Chris Waters, said: "We send our condolences to his family and friends, our thoughts are with them."
