Appeal made after bronze sculpture stolen from garden in Preston, near Sandwich

An appeal has been made after a valuable bronze sculpture was stolen from the garden of a house in Preston near Sandwich.

It is worth an estimated £42,000 and was stolen between midnight on April 13 and 2.30pm on April 15.

The bronze is by renowned sculptor Desmond Fountain and is of a little girl with a bucket over her head. It is 1.5m high and is signed by the sculptor on the base of the bucket.

If anyone has any information or can assist police with the investigation they are asked to contact Kent Police on 01304 218182, giving reference number ZY/12055/14.
