Car blaze on the A256 Dover Road has been put out by firefighters

A car that was alight on the A256 Dover Road has been put out by firefighters.

It was near the roundabout to Dover, Eastry and Sandwich at 7.42am.

The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and firefighters were wearing breathing apparatus.

Police officers also attended because they were dealing with high volumes of traffic through the port.

It is not known whether the car was completely destroyed but it is understood there were no casualties.
