Firefighters rescue a man and a dog from an overturned pick-up truck in Ramsgate Road, Sandwich

A man and a dog were rescued from an overturned pick-up truck yesterday evening.

Firefighters were called to Ramsgate Road in Sandwich at 7.35pm and had to cut the driver out of the vehicle before helping the animal escape.

The man was passed onto ambulance crews and police officers also attended to help make sure the road was safe.

Emergency services left the scene at just before 8pm.
