Woman left with minor injuries to face after reported robbery in Moat Sole in Sandwich

Police are appealing for witnesses after a reported robbery in Sandwich last night.

Officers received a report that a woman was approached by a teenage boy and had her purse taken as she walked through a car park in Moat Sole, Sandwich, at around 11pm on Sunday, December 18.

The victim sustained minor injuries to her face.

Detective Inspector Tracy Anstis said: “Although shaken up, the victim was not seriously injured.

“Fortunately reports of such incidents are rare in Sandwich, but we would ask anyone with information about it, to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 18-1336.”
