Sevenoaks: Men arrested after drugs found in car in Chipstead Lane

Two men have been arrested after police found drugs, a knife and a large amount of cash in a car near Sevenoaks.

Officers on patrol spotted a suspicious vehicle in Chipstead Lane at around 3.15pm on Wednesday. They asked the driver to stop and after searching the car found cannabis, a knife and a mobile phone.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Westerham, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of controlled drugs.

The passenger, a 24-year-old man from Sevenoaks, was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.

Officers subsequently searched a house in Sevenoaks and seized suspected cannabis, cocaine, scales and a quantity of cash.

Both men were later released pending further investigation.
