Collapsed tree crushes car outside Cowden High Street pub

A car was damaged when a large tree collapsed and fell on top of it outside a pub. 

The tree fell on top of the silver Mercedes outside the Fountain Pub in Cowden at around 7pm yesterday. 

Pedestrians and cyclists whose routes were blocked by the huge tree were diverted through the pub which is situated in the High Street.

Kent County Council Highways officers responded to the incident and work began to remove the tree from the road.
