Emergency services at the scene of a vehicle fire on the A21 at the junction with Morleys Road/Riverhill A225 in Sevenoaks reported taxi alight

Emergency services are trying to put out a vehicle on fire on the A21 - just two hours after a taxi caught alight on the same stretch.

The northbound entry slip at the junction with Morleys Road/Riverhill A225 in Sevenoaks is open but lane one of the road remains closed after the earlier incident.

Fire crews are in attendance at the second vehicle fire on the same stretch at Morleys Roundabout. A hose reel is being used to tackle the flames.

It follows an earlier vehicle fire, involving a taxi that was alight in the carriageway just before the A225 turn off section 1 of the A21 London-bound at 2pm this afternoon.

The taxi was travelling from Tunbridge Wells to London.

All passengers managed to escape unharmed.
