Kent Police charged four people in conneciton with burglaries in Sevenoaks, Maidstone and Swanley

Police have charged four people in connection with burglaries across the County.

Designer watches and a digital camera were reported stolen in Shoreham during a break-in in Church Street on Friday June 27.

Sean Gould, 30, of Waters Road, Catford and Timothy Mitchell, 44,of Pattenden Road, Catford were arrested on the same day and have since been charged with burglary.

A bicycle was reported stolen following a break-in Lower Street, Maidstone between Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 June.

On Friday June 27, David Palmer, 28,of Hart Street, Maidstone was arrested and charged with burglary.

He was bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court.

A Mercedes car was reported stolen in Swanley along with watches and computer equipment following a burglary in Kingswood Avenue on Thursday June 26.

In Swanley, a Mercedes car was reported as stolen along with watches and computer equipment following a burglary in Kingswood Avenue, on 26 June.

Thomas Mongan, 27,of Upper Elmers Ends Road, Beckenham, was arrested on 29 June.

He was charged with burglary and the theft of a motor vehicle and remanded to court.

Kent Police works with organisations such as Neighbourhood Watch to issue crime prevention advice and encourage residents to keep a watchful eye out in their neighbourhoods to deter and report any criminal activity.

Officers are encouraging residents to ensure doors and windows are locked, never leave keys on display, avoid keeping large amounts of cash and security mark expensive items.
