Free parking will be available for motorists during a themed summer event.
Sevenoaks District Council has announced it will be suspending parking charges in Westerham as part of the 1914 themed war weekend.
Visitors coming to the town will not have to pay for parking on Saturday July 26 and Sunday July 27.
The weekend will allow visitors to experience what life was like before the outbreak of war on August 4, 1914 and will include a World War One trench, exhibitions, artefacts and vintage fairground rides.
“The free parking will allow visitors to not worry about when their ticket will run out and will let them spend their spare change enjoying the delights of 1914 instead” - Cllr Roddy Hogarth
There will also be themed shop window exhibits, a children’s quiz, music, a 1914 food tent and Punch and Judy who will be on The Green from 3pm on Saturday (July 26).
Tourism cabinet member, Cllr Roddy Hogarth, said: “This is going to be a fantastic event and one I am sure will draw large crowds and it was only right we helped support this event by providing free parking for the weekend.
“The free parking will allow visitors to not worry about when their ticket will run out and will let them spend their spare change enjoying the delights of 1914 instead."
All other usual parking restrictions will still apply, including the maximum stay and yellow line restrictions.
