Sevenoaks District Council offers free bike rides around the district

Sevenoaks residents wishing to have fun and get fit can do so for free with bike rides organised by the council.

Professionally led cycle rides which will take in the scenery and sights - including Knole Park, Brands Hatch and Horton Kirby - and are open to people of all abilities.

Trained cycling coach, Ollie Ireland, from Track ‘n’ Trail Biking, will lead and guide cyclists.

The first ride takes place at the end of May and the programme includes off-road routes suitable for families, faster rides and road cycling routes. There are rides to suit all abilities.

Council leader, Cllr Peter Fleming, said: “These rides are a fun way to see the fabulous scenery across the District with your friends and family, as well as enjoying some fresh air!

"We are really pleased to be able to offer these rides again this summer, as they were extremely popular last year. I would encourage people to book places now.”

For family rides and faster paced rides, all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Road rides are open to people aged 18 and over only. Cyclists on all rides must bring their own bike.
