A tree stump was set on fire in Kemsing, near Sevenoaks, last night.

Firefighters were called to Dynes Road at 11.20pm and found the stump "well alight".

Crews spent about 15 minutes putting out the flames using a hose and buckets of water.

A spokesman described the fire as "deep seated" and said it continued to smoulder for a while.

The tree stump was destroyed by the fire.
