Sevenoaks Prep School first to go live with Gigaclear broadband network

A school in Sevenoaks has become one of the first to go live with a new broadband service.

Sevenoaks Preparatory School has introduced Gigaclear, a provider that has activated a new broadband network in Kent, to its students.

Residents near the school who may be thwarted by unreliable and slow broadband speed may be able to access reliable speeds of up to 1000Mbps as a result of the installation of the new service.

The company will be hosting two demonstration days at the school to inform parents, local customers and residents further.

Staff at Sevenoaks Prep say they have already seen the benefit of the higher speeds in delivering video content and online learning applications to pupils.

Matthew Hare, chief executive, Gigaclear commented: “We are on the verge of a revolution in the way we all learn, enabled by the Internet.

"At school, at work and at home, fast, symmetric broadband such as provided by Gigaclear will give us the opportunity to take advantage of new remote learning opportunities throughout our lives. Gigaclear is proud to be a part of this revolution.”

The demonstration days will be on Saturday, October 25 and Saturday, November 15.
