Kings and queens of swing to sing and dance at Summer Festival

A sensational live performance of Swinging at the Cotton Club is set to be staged as part of a summer celebration of Harlem’s hottest nightclub.

Fans of music from the 1920s and 1930s can catch original numbers by the likes of Billie Holliday and Louis Armstrong at Hever Castle, in Edenbridge, on August 26.

The moves of dancers such as Bojangles Robinson and the Nicholas Brothers will also light up the stage.

Performance group the Lindy Hop Dance Company will replicate moves as while the soundtrack will be provided by the Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra.

Swinging At The Cotton Club will begin at 8pm with gates opening at 6.30pm. Reserved covered seating costs £27 and tickets for the grass areas is £17.
