There were significant changes to services between west Kent and London.

Trains between Dover, Ramsgate, Canterbury West and London Charing Cross and Cannon Street via Ashford International and Tonbridge were also diverted via Maidstone East and did not stop at Paddock Wood, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks or Orpington.

Replacement buses ran between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, and passengers were allowed to use Southern, high-speed and London Underground services for no extra charge.

The line reopened just after midday, and the first train from Tonbridge towards Sevenoas left at 12.35 - 26 minutes behind schedule.

Passengers are still urged to check for delays before they travel.
