Shipbourne: Harley-Davidson rider fighting for life after crash with lorry on A227 Ightham Road

A motorcyclist is fighting for his life in hospital after being involved in a crash with a lorry near Sevenoaks.

Two bikes and a lorry collided on the A227 Ightham Road in Shipbourne, close to the junction with Plaxtol Lane, just after 2.30pm on Wednesday.

A man riding a black Harley-Davidson suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The rider of the second bike, a black Triumph, suffered minor injuries while the lorry driver was unharmed.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage of it or saw any of the vehicles beforehand is urged to call the police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference HW/SM/090/18.
