Cyclist dies in Dux Lane Sevenoaks on Saturday attended by air ambulance

Mystery surrounds the death of a cyclist from head injuries in Sevenoaks.

An air ambulance landed in a field near Dux Lane shortly after 7.30pm on Saturday evening, after a member of the public reported that a man had come off his bike.

Police and paramedics were also called.

The man was treated for head injuries, but was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman confirmed that no other vehicles were involved and that the death was not being treated as suspicious.

They left the scene at around 8.30pm.

A report is being prepared for the coroner who will determine the cause of death.
