Motorcyclist Jim Moyle dies in crash on A20 at Farningham

Tributes have been paid to a Kemsing motorcyclist killed in a crash in Farningham.

A statement issued by the London Fire Brigades Union told of the "untimely death" of the watch manager Jim Moyle.

His bike was involved in a crash with a blue Vauxhall Vectra on the A20 at the junction with Button Street on Thursday, November 19 at around 6.30pm.

The statement said: "We were deeply saddened to hear of the untimely death of FBU member Watch Manager James (Jim) Moyle, most recently attached to the fire investigation team at Dowgate fire station, but based on green watch at Eltham fire station.

"Jim died on Sunday, three days after being involved in a serious road accident while on his way home from work.

"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Jim's family at this very sad time. The FBU will be assisting Jim's family in any way it can."

The 47-year-old suffered serious injuries and died in hospital on Sunday.
