Police close Terry's Lodge Road at junctions with Knock Mill Lane, St Clere Hill Road and Pells Lane in Wrotham following death in the area

Police are investigating the sudden death of a man in his 30s yesterday. (Tuesday)

The ambulance service received a call at 8.50am and were told a man had been found dead.

The report said the deceased is believed to have shot himself.

The man was found inside a car in Knock Mill Lane, close to the junction with Terry's Lodge Road, in Wrotham.

Surrounding roads, including St Clere Hill Road, Pells Lane and the junction with the A20 London Road were closed off.

The South East Coast Ambulance Services sent two ambulances but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Kent Highways warned drivers of the road closures at 10.30am and they were lifted 1.45pm.
