A suspected shoplifter had to be stopped by off-duty police officers after reportedly trying to take £700 worth of goods.
Kent police was called at 6.11pm yesterday regarding a reported theft at a store in Aisher Way, Riverhead.

Officers attended the scene where a 35-year-old woman from Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of theft and assault. She remains in police custody.
