Food, beer, music and face-painting in Kemsing day of fun

The beautiful grounds of the St Clere mansion house at Kemsing, near Sevenoaks, is the setting for a community event in support of disadvantaged children.

Food Fest will offer visitors the chance to sample the tastes of Kent with fresh food from local farmers, pop-up restaurants, and drinks from local breweries and vineyards: all in support of the charity Action for Children.

There will be plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained throughout the day including a mad hatter’s tea party, arts and crafts, face painting and live music.

The event is the inspiration of Jason Scott, father of two young daughters, Ava Mae, eight, and Macy Skyla, three. Mr Scott will also be playing at the event with his band Jay Scott and The Find.

He said: “I’ve organised Food Fest with my partner Clairey to encourage the community to get together and enjoy amazing local produce at a family friendly event for a good cause.

“Being a father myself was a big motivator for choosing to fundraise for a charity that supports children to get the best start in life.”
