Wrotham teenagers 'heartbroken' after dog snatched from outside home in London Road

Teenagers in Wrotham have been left heartbroken after their beloved pet dog was reportedly snatched from outside their house in broad daylight.

Five-year-old Pomeranian, Bear, was allegedly stolen from outside Josephine Cordell's home in London Road, much to the dismay of the self-employed mum's three children, Pescha, 16, Marlo, 14, and Calia, 12.

Mrs Cordell, 46, said: "He was let out in the garden yesterday at 11am like he always is, and someone must have been waiting because he was in the car and gone within a couple of minutes. He used to sit outside the gates and watch the traffic go by.

"We've had Bear since he was a puppy and he's always lived in this house. The kids are heartbroken. Pescha does everything with him, they're best mates."

The family managed to catch a car pulling up to the house and someone taking the dog on CCTV.

A Kent Police spokesperson confirmed the force was investigating the incident, which has been shared widely on the popular Facebook page, PAW - Helping Dogs in Need.

"Officers received a report that between 11am and 11.45am on Monday, a ginger Pomeranian dog was stolen from the garden of an address in London Road," he said.
