Fly-tipping and diesel spill close roads near Sevenoaks

By Alan Smith

Kent Highways has issued a warning to motorists after two roads were closed to traffic this morning.

Illegal fly-tipping at Shoreham has blocked Redman's Lane between Cockerhurst Lane and Castle Farm Road.

Meanwhile a diesel spillage yesterday has forced the closure of Knatts Valley Road, between Boston Lane and Knatts Lane. The carriageway remains very slippery and is closed to allow carriageway repairs to be carried out today.

Fly tipping can be a big problem as well as being unsightly
