Shepherd Neame Kent Cricket League Premier Division wrap

Defending Shepherd Neame Kent Cricket League Premier Division champions Sevenoaks Vine registered their first win of the season after beating visitors Tunbridge Wells by 82 runs on Saturday.

Michael Barber scored 109 while Nicholas Sale made 75 as Vine posted 254-4.

Barber and Sale shared a third-wicket partnership of 146.

Sale then took 3-26 and Tom Parsons 4-45 as Tunbridge Wells were bowled out for 172. No.9 David Smith top-scored with 50 not out.

Sandwich Town also won for the first time after a six-wicket triumph at Beckenham.

The home side were dismissed for 129 with Liam Evans taking 4-39 and Matt Hunn 3-29.

Opener Alex Smith (58 not out) led the successful Sandwich reply.

Blackheath increased their lead at the top to 12 points after a five-wicket win against Hartley.

All-rounder Jahid Ahmed starred with the ball for Blackheath, taking a hat-trick in his 4-42 as the visitors were all-out of 194. Charlie Hemphrey top-scored with 94.

Ahmed (46) and Tanweer Sikander (71 not out) as Blackheath wrapped up the win in the 37th over.

Opener Richard Selvey-Clinton scored 110 for Bromley in the winning draw against visiting Folkestone.

Bromley posted 258-7 as Hugh Bernard (3-40) and Sam Ireland (3-79) shared six wickets.

Himanshu Waingankar (111) and Ireland (66) led the run chase with a 134-run second-wicket partnership as Folkestone replied with 228-8. Pip France finished with 5-54.

Adam Ball (93) and Sam Heazlett (98 not out) made the major contributions as Bexley scored 303-5 after batting first against Lordswood.

Lordswood replied with 197-8 with Oliver Lea finishing 62 not out while Daniel Masters made 54 as Jason Benn took 4-33.
