A mother is appealing for information after her daughter’s cat narrowly survived being hit by an air gun pellet.

Casey Hill was alerted by a neighbour that her four-year-old Roxanne Osborne’s pet was hurt.

The cat, named Biscuit, was found under a bush near their home in Anne Boleyn Close, Eastchurch, on July 4, about 7pm.

The pellet hit the cat in its side and can still be felt inside its body.

Despite losing a lot of blood and spending over a week in hospital, Biscuit is now back home.

Miss Hill, 22, said: “I told her [Roxanne] that she was ill and she burst into tears.

“I was really angry. I have no idea who did it. I don’t know if it’s kids or not.

“I have reported it to the police but they can’t do anything.

“It’s bad because the cat follows Roxanne to school and it’s been caught in school waiting for her so everyone knows its her cat. That’s the bad thing about it.”
