Fire at KFC Drive Thru, Thomsett Way, Queenborough

Police are investigating after a car caught fire at KFC's Drive Thru.

Officers were called to the restaurant in Thomsett Way, Queenborough, yesterday at about 9.41pm.

They were responding to reports of a crash involving a car.

A police spokesman said: "Four people are then reported to have exited the vehicle and got in another car, which drove away from the scene.

"The abandoned vehicle then caught fire and this was extinguished by Kent Fire and Rescue Service. It has since been recovered.

"Enquiries to locate the occupants of the vehicle remain ongoing."

Crews were called at about 10.25pm to put out the fire.
