Air ambulance lands near Chequers Road, Minster, to treat woman injured by horse

A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital after being injured by a horse.

The air ambulance, plus two paramedic cars and a land ambulance, were sent to the scene at the junction of Plough Road and Chequers Road, Minster.

They were called around 11am. The air ambulance wasn't needed and returned to base.

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: "The woman was treated at the scene and taken to Medway Maritime Hospital by road.

"The patient is suffering from head injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening."
