Police appeal after woman confronted by burglar in Eastchurch High Street

Police are appealing for information after a burglary on the Isle of Sheppey.

Officers say a woman was confronted by a man who had broken into a property off Eastchurch High Street between 3.30pm and 3.45pm on Friday.

The offender is then reported to have run away after he was confronted by a neighbour and was last seen getting into a silver car and driving away at speed towards Eastchurch roundabout.

Police say no serious injuries have been reported and no arrests have yet been made.

Officers would now like to speak to anyone who believes they saw anything suspicious in the High Street area between 3pm and 4pm.

They would be particularly interested in obtaining dash cam footage recorded from vehicles travelling in the area.
