Appeal to buggy driver after collision

POLICE are appealing for the driver of an electric buggy to contact them. The appeal follows an incident in which the buggy collided with a 81-year-old pedestrian as she was shopping High Street, Sheerness, at midday on 25 August.

The 81-year-old woman was taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital with cuts and bruises.

PC Toby Sargeant, who is investigating the incident, said: “The woman driving the buggy has already spoken with the police. However, we would appreciate it if she could contact us again.”
