Arrests after thefts from ambulances in Sheerness, Ashford, Medway and Thanet

Two men have been arrested in connection with a spate of thefts from ambulances across Kent.

A 26-year-old from Dagenham and a 33-year-old from Whitstable were both arrested on Tuesday after ambulance stations pleaded for information.

The thefts saw medical equipment taken from vehicles, meaning they had to be taken out of service.

Separate incidents were reported in Sheerness, Ashford, Thanet and Medway.

Both men have been released on bail, pending further inquiries, until Friday, July 7.

Any members of the public who have been offered or seen medical equipment for sale are asked to call Kent Police on 101 quoting reference number ZY/24921/17.
