Red worms in a tub of spaghetti! 2nd Minster Guides and 1st Sheppey Guides take part in challenges for badge

Thirty Girl Guides got together on Saturday for a badge collecting exercise.

Youngsters from the 2nd Minster Guides and 1st Sheppey Guides took part in a number of challenges at The Glen, Minster, in an attempt to earn a new badge.

Challenges included a “milking the cow” exercise, where the girls had to use a latex glove filled with water, and a mission to hunt and collect as many red worms from a tub of spaghetti as possible.

Helper Ellen Lennox-Gurr said the event was a great success and the girls, aged 10 to 14, thoroughly enjoyed it.

“The girls had a really good day,” she said. “They had to do a certain amount of challenges to earn a badge and they all managed to do it.
