Boy, 13, bailed on suspicion of having offensive weapon or knife in Sheerness

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of having an offensive weapon, believed to be a knife.

Police were called to a property in Minster Road in Sheerness just before 7.30pm on Saturday following reports of criminal damage.

They arrested a 13-year-old boy for possession of an offensive weapon. He has been bailed pending further enquiries until August 20.

Police on Sheppey earlier described the weapon as a knife.
