Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 12.11pm and sent two fire engines, one from Eastchurch and one from Sheerness.

Firefighters placed blocks under two of the wheels to level the car so that the driver, a man believed to be in his 80s, could be helped out safely.

An ambulance spokesman said there were no serious injuries.
