Harry Hill supports Labour Party by canvassing in Sheerness

TV comic Harry Hill was the latest celebrity to join the election battle in Kent today when he campaigned in Sheerness on behalf of the Labour Party.

Harry joined members of Sittingbourne and Sheppey Labour Party, who are hoping their candidate Guy Nicholson can oust Tory Gordon Henderson.

Harry, who has a house in Whitstable, greeted shoppers in the High Street and happily posed for photos.

He was the latest in a string of celebrities backing Kent candidates during the election campaign.

Labour enjoyed more high-profile backing when actor Ross Kemp visited South Thanet to show support for Labour candidate Will Scobie.

And South Thanet also saw Happy Mondays star Bez and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood backing the Reality Party's Nigel Askew.

With just days left of the campaign, we'll be keeping an eye out for any more big names.
