Man arrested after police find 500 cannabis plants in Railway Terrace, Queenborough

Hundreds of cannabis plants have been seized and a man has been arrested after police raided an industrial building in Queenborough.

Officers made the discovery in Railway Terrace at about 8.40am today while on patrol in the area.

Cultivation equipment was also confiscated, along with 500 cannabis plants.

A 49-year-old man from Sheerness was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug.

He remains in custody while police continue with their inquiries.
