Browning machine guns, ammunition and military radio stolen from outbuildings in Warden, Sheppey

Deactivated Browning machine guns, ammunition and other similar equipment were stolen when thieves targeted outbuildings on Sheppey.

Police are investigating the theft of the Second World War memorabilia from a property in the Thorn Hill Road area of Warden, between 9pm on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.

Among the items stolen were a military radio and the machine guns, although the weapons are fully deactivated and none of the ammunition is live.

A baseball glove dating back to the 1940s was also among the memorabilia.
